Project Overview
Customer: Grainline
Product: Grain Handling Equipment
Country: Wagga Wagga, Australia
Installed: 2025
Industry: Agricultural Equipment Manufacturing
Solution: M-1200 Robot Welding Cell
Featured Equipment: OTC Daihen B6 Welding Robot with 2000mm reach, OTC Daihen FD19 Robot Controller and Teach Pendant, OTC Welbee P502L 500amp Welding Power Source, 350amp Air Cooled Welding Torch and Wire Feeder, Dual 1200 x 600mm Welding Jig Table, Integrated Safety Componentry
The Solution
Autoa worked with Grainline to integrate an M-1200 robotic welding cell, optimising their welding process and improving efficiency. Configured to suit Grainline’s grain handling equipment production, the system delivers consistent weld quality across a variety of components.
Equipped with an OTC Daihen B6 Welding Robot with 2000mm reach, the cell offers precise weld placement and flexibility to handle different part sizes. The OTC Welbee P502L 500amp Welding Power Source, paired with a 350amp air-cooled torch and wire feeder, ensures stable and high-quality welds. A dual 1200 x 600mm welding jig table enables efficient part changeover, while safety guarding to ISO 10218-1 standards provides a secure operating environment.
The Results
Since installing the M-1200 robotic welding cell, Grainline has achieved more consistent weld quality across their grain handling equipment components. The cell’s precision and efficiency have helped reduce manual handling, improve throughput, and maintain high standards across every job.
To ensure a smooth transition, Grainline’s team received operator training and support from Autoa, enabling them to fully utilise the cell’s capabilities. This has allowed them to produce components more quickly, meet growing demand, and maintain consistent quality without increasing labour requirements.
The IMPACT ON Grainline’S BUSINESS
The integration of robotic welding has strengthened Grainline’s manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to meet higher production demands without compromising quality. Improved efficiency and consistency have enhanced their ability to deliver reliable grain handling equipment to customers across Australia.
By adopting advanced welding technology, Grainline has positioned itself to respond quickly to market needs while maintaining the durability and performance their brand is known for. The investment also supports long-term growth, giving the company a scalable solution that will continue to add value in the years ahead.
